What we do
One contractor, from bulk earth to finished surface
Because the same team handles the ground, the drainage and the concrete, the parts of a project that usually argue with each other line up instead.

Civil & earthworks
Move the ground properly
Bulk earthworks, site cuts and fills, excavation, drainage, roads, erosion and flood repairs.

Concrete & renewal
Concrete finished properly
Slabs, driveways, crossovers, exposed aggregate, architectural finishes, paving and full renewal.

Environmental
Leave the land better
Flood recovery, erosion repair, soil reuse, revegetation, waterway restoration and boardwalks.

Equipment
The right machine
Excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, trucks, rollers and attachments, with operators.

Built from the ground up
Ground Up Land Solutions provides practical solutions across civil construction, concrete, earthworks and environmental land rehabilitation.
We approach every project from the ground up — understanding the site, the problem, the material, the machinery required and the finished result.
Our work ranges from premium residential concrete and paving through to bulk earthworks, flood-damaged land restoration, civil projects, environmental improvements and large-scale material movement.
Under the leadership of CEO James Setches, Ground Up Land Solutions is focused on raising the environmental standard of civil construction — combining practical site experience, modern machinery and new circular-economy concepts to create better outcomes for land, infrastructure and future development.

About Ground Up
Circular construction
Material that goes back to work
Where material is suitable and its source is properly established, it becomes the fill, base or landform of the next project instead of becoming waste.
Source material
Identify where the material is coming from.
Assess
Check what the material is and where it can lawfully go.
Reuse
Recover suitable material instead of sending it to waste.
Civil project
Place recovered material where a project needs it.
Land restoration
Reshape, drain and stabilise the finished landform.
Environmental improvement
Revegetate and leave the land performing better.
Before & after
Same ground, different result

Bembridge Road, Somerville VIC
Flooded, eroded and underutilised land raised and stabilised — safe drainage falls, stabilised creek banks and usable land returned.

Bembridge Road — plan to finished ground
The proposed earthworks and drainage plan, and the same ground once the fill was placed, levelled and drained.

Concrete driveway renewal
The same driveway: cracked, lifted and weed-filled, then broken out and replaced in exposed aggregate.

Paddock that held water
Aggregate drainage lines cut through the paddock and run to an outfall. Same ground, dry and back in pasture.

Water at the back door
Floodwater reaching the rear of the house. Ground raised with clean fill, falls corrected and a grassed swale built.

Flood-damaged land
Waterlogged and eroded ground reshaped, drained and returned to pasture.

For rural landowners
Paddock to parkland
Turn a tired, wet or featureless rural block into a botanic-garden style parkland — shaped mounding, lakes, terraces, event lawns and mass planting. Built to a standard that can carry weddings, functions and visitors, using clean fill that is declared at its source and recorded against your property.
A Ground Up platform
Enviro Unity
Our digital gate, load tracking, compliance and evidence system for soil and clean fill. QR gate entry, source traceability, photographic evidence at the tip face and audit-ready records for every load.
